Prosthetics manufacturer Otto Bock has just released a new fitness app to help leg amputees improve their mobility.
The new app provides self-managed prosthesis training and has been specially developed for leg amputees by physical and occupational therapists,
The app is available for both Android and iPhone devices and is completely free.
The app supports amputees with exercises for “Strength and Endurance” as well as “Balance and Co-ordination”. Each of these also has 3 different levels of difficulty. Users can see via a statistical display what progress has been made with the exercises.
There are 16 exercises in total and each exercise is clearly demonstrated by a video made to perfectly fit the user’s smartphone screen.
